Praises
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE WHO HELPED TO MAKE AUTUMN GLORY A SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY EVENT!
|
I would like to give a special thanks to G.I.G., LaVale Baptist volunteers, Deep Creek Baptist Church volunteers, Pleasant View Baptist, and The Hope Baptist Church Team from NY that came to help out!
Missionary Funding
Bill and I are no longer US/C-2 missionaries with NAMB. Instead, we are MSC missionaries with NAMB. This means that we are currently self-funded. Thanks so much to all of our church families that have agreed to help us out as we make this switch.
Also, as a reminder, remember to send the funding checks to the Western Baptist Association with our name in the memo. If it is intended to support our salary, please mark the check as so. Otherwise, it will go towards ministry expenses. They will make sure we get the checks as they come in.
VOLUNTEERS:
If you helped us out this past year, October 2008-2009, please take a look at the Open House invitation on the last page of this newsletter!
A Look Back
It is hard to believe that October has halfway through already. I have been so busy preparing for Autumn Glory that I did not get the newsletter out until now.
However, as I take a look back it is exciting to see how God has used us through September and October. We are beginning to gain the support of the Chamber of Commerce as we work to help them find volunteers for different areas of Autumn Glory. I believe God is using this to help them to see our worth to the community.
I also believe God will use this to help us be able to have more ministry opportunities in the future. Thank you for all of your prayers!
A Look Ahead
As I look ahead, I’m gearing up for the upcoming state convention. I am hoping to find church groups interested in bringing mission teams to the lake this summer. I would also like to provide a sports camp of some sort this summer. If you have experience with this or are interested in helping us plan one, let me know. I am now just praying about it and letting God guide me.
Also, with winter approaching my eyes are steered to how we can be more effective in ministering at the Wisp Ski Resort this winter season. I am preparing a proposal for a Sunday morning church service to be held in the lodge. I would also like to host a dinner for the international workers who come to help out at the resort.
Please be praying for God’s leading in both of these areas and that the management at the Wisp will see their value and allow us to continue forward.
